One More Reason

I've been becoming disenchanted with the whole blogging thing recently, and now I am downright disgusted. This pathetic thief has stolen my own words and is passing them off as her own. Since it's Blogspalt, I don't really know how she can be stopped. But pass the word, if you want, and watch your own backs.
And you, BassFairy... you are the lowest of the low. But at least you had sense to steal from your betters. Nice example you're setting for those kids of yours... or did you steal those too?
Bitch. You fucking bitch.

Follow-up:
Wrote to the thieving slut, wrote to Blogger to lodge an official complaint, and am thinking of sending all the now-out-of-work looters from New Orleans to her house. I don't know what else I can do, but heaven help her if I ever find her.
Follow-up 2: As Allan notes in the comments, it appears my own personal looter has tucked tail and run, as her blog now comes up empty. But since I was notified by more than a couple of sharp-eyed souls about the theft in the first place, it's fair to say she'll be caught with her hands full of ill-gottens again.
Thank you to all who talked me out of the gun store.... I was this close to blowing the goldfishes' tuition money.
I'm not going to apologize for getting worked up, though. Mad has to go somewhere, better here than to my blood pressure.

Eh, don't let the idiots drag you down. Be flattered that someone thought you brilliant enough to copy. Sure, it's word for word Cheese, but at least it's expensive and rare Cheese. It could be worse. Someone could have taken one of my Limberger cheese posts and claimed them as their own. That, of course, would be immediate suicide. They'd lose all their readers and be left to sit in the dark, all alone with their pathetic mediocre thieving self.

Should I send the sexy and handsome dancing boys to cheer you up? I can do that, you know.

Fear not. Mu.Nu will defend your honor, and your mother.

Damn. Just damn.

It appears that BassFairy is history. All I get is a blank page.

Posted by: Allan at September 11, 2005 08:12 AM

Dude, I hate pussy little bitches who think they're all awesome. I got a blank page also but the little ho has to be like, 13 to do something like that. Makes me wanna pee in their bedsheets.

Posted by: caltechgirl at September 11, 2005 10:06 AM

eewwwww. No lifers trying to get one by proxy. There's more essence in the randomthought community.

Posted by: Edith at September 11, 2005 10:52 AM

Hehehehehe... you scared the crap out of her and she's gone running!!! Good. I can't believe that someone would actually try something so incredibly stupid! Was she going to keep stealing your stuff to post? I mean - what would happen if she actually wrote something herself? Everyone would know immediately it wasn't the same person posting!

If you ever find her... let me know, I'll be your backup. *grin*

Behold the power of cheesemistress.

Cheesemistress,
Please please please please please please please do not go away.

I'm fairly certain that if you and Anna are gone, I'll perish.

You're one tough chick, you are.

Posted by: Tonya at September 12, 2005 07:34 AM

Just curious...however did you find out in the first place??? I always wondered if I wrote something and someone copied me how I'd ever find out!

Oh, and that WAS a classic Cheese...!

Glad you won the day!

Posted by: sue at September 12, 2005 08:00 AM

Well, I have to admit, though I don't copy your words, every now and again I recognise some of your style and flair in what I write. I hope that is the sincerest form of flattery type copying though :)

Posted by: Edith at September 12, 2005 08:30 AM

That's fucked up.

Not cool, and whatever.

Posted by: Yabu at September 12, 2005 10:12 AM

possible cheese tagline:

"Valuable enough to steal."

Posted by: Mel Kizgude at September 12, 2005 01:14 PM

Glad you went after her, when I went over to take a look, the page was blank.

That was a good post though, I laughed, even though your mother sounds like me. I would of thought the movie was about dancing too.

Posted by: BeeBee at September 12, 2005 02:18 PM

The page is still blank. Let it remain so.

I'm curious how you discovered she'd lifted your words in the first place?

That's just pathetic - can't even find her own material to blog about. Sad sad sad.

Posted by: Sally at September 13, 2005 09:39 AM

I say you explode a bag of Cheese Nips in her house.

Posted by: Jeff at September 13, 2005 11:39 AM

Just out of curiousity, why does it matter to you? Issues involving intellectual property have long interested me and blogs are a special area since in most cases there's no money at stake. Nor recognition or fame in the normal sense due to most people not blogging under their real name.

Posted by: Utenzi at September 13, 2005 12:33 PM

Utenzi- I understand that my writing might have no value in a monetary sense. However, it's the same as someone cheating off your work in school... they get credit for something you've done. It's unfair, and possibly this person is some sneaky thieving shit who I don't like to even think about reading my posts, let alone steal them. It's a minor thing, like jumping line or 18 items in the 15 or less line. If such a thing as principle can be applied to the anonymous and vague world of blogging, then I'd say it was the principle of the thing.
Some of us were raised in a time where such matters counted.

Posted by: LeeAnn at September 13, 2005 06:22 PM

You're definitely right about it being unprincipled, LeeAnn. Do you have any idea why this person did it? Like the others, by the time I followed the link the blog page was gone.

It's so easy to write a post, it's hard to see any point in raiding them. And since most blogs are personal--why steal parts of another person's life? The whole thing leaves me puzzled. Your example of the school exam is different--the thief has a definite gain--than raiding blogs for posts.

Well, thanks for explaining why you were upset, LeeAnn--and for visiting my page.

Posted by: Utenzi at September 13, 2005 08:35 PM

Yeah, how did you find out that she had copied you? Was is an easy search? I found this because a refer link was listed and I wanted to see what this is all about...
