I have noticed a tendency for you all to think I'm moving to Yuma, Arizona.
I wish.
Where I am moving is 60 miles WEST of Yuma, still in California, a little tiny town called El Centro.
"El Centro"... the center.
Not.
I can see where I led you astray, and not in that happy, kegger-fueled, "will you respect me in the morning way." And I apologize.
Nope, I'm still going to live in the state of Fruits and Nuts. Which is, upon further consideration, right where I belong.
I couldn't agree more.
Posted by: Tonya at May 3, 2005 01:37 PMWell, if it's in the centre of something, it can't all be bad, can it?
Posted by: Paul Jané at May 4, 2005 05:05 AMPaul- Long as it's not the center of Car Alarm City, I'm happy. Was woken up at 2AM, 2:40AM, 3:05AM, 3:30AM and 4:10AM by this one freakishly sensitive alarm right outside my window.
Okay, the 4:10AM one was sort of my fault... I stayed up to find the proper sized rock to throw at the thing.
The most important thing is that you are happy where you're living. And although the current living conditions seem to be ideal for your blog readers... I'm not so sure they've been so great for you and the GM1. If El Centro turns out great - it doesn't matter if it's in California or Arizona. And since you are in the middle of nowhere - 60 miles to Yuma isn't as far as it sounds. *grin*

Posted by: Susie at May 4, 2005 09:19 PMEl Centro? WTF?
That's seriously like the armpit of California.
I'm sorry. So very very sorry.
Posted by: Da Goddess at May 6, 2005 08:28 AMEl Centro is the navel - the arm pit is actually Calexico and it's twin hairy pit Mexicali just over the border in Mexico (and connected by a vascular network of tunnels). My friend lives in Calexico - she's moving to Detroit actually this week and thinks it's an improvement. BUT (there is always a but), compared to Calexico - El Centro is a Mecca. It has things like medical facilities. Okay - you may still have to hop a flight to San Fran to get major medical fixes, but at least it has a hospital.
On the bright side, Oh CheeseSupreme - car alarms should be fairly absent. And silence is bliss. Take it from one who knows - I moved to BFE, Colorado - that would be BF Erie. I don't miss the sirens or the car alarms.
Luck to you!
