As In "Herring"

I had a spare hour, so I did what everyone does with their free time:
I dyed my hair red.
It's red.
I mean, red.
Beaten stepchild red.
Holy crap.
It didn't look this red on the box.
I was expecting little glisteny highlights, sparking copper and bronze in the sun.
Man. It's... well, it's red. Forget your dainty "auburns" and "strawberry blondes".
We're talking whore in church red.
The box says "Cardinal". I must have been thinking "oooh, pretty bird", not "the Monsignor's undies."
GM1: "Holy shit, babe, that's.... RED."

I kinda like it.

Yes, pictures will be posted later, are up now in the extended entry thingy.
I just have to find a way to keep the camera from completely deleting my entire head when it tries to correct red-eye.

Bird's eye view

GM1 keeps saying Maureen O'Hara. I don't know about that. But I do have a redhead's temper, despite my angelic reputation.
Shut up. I can hear you, you know.

delete my head from the red eye thing, that really made me laugh out loud

I guess we are talking red here

All right, it's red, but it's not squirtin' severed artery red or anything like that.

It's nice.

But, hell, the box did say "Cardinal," no?

I think it looks cute - but my hair color is pretty darn close to that, so I'm a little prejudiced.

Oooh! I like it!!

You just went from Cheesemistress to Baby Bell.

I think it looks good. Just don't try to fix it, or it might turn orange. That would be very very bad. Look at it this way: at least you didn't go with fuschia.

Is that LeeAnn...or LeeLoo?

does the carpet match the drapes?

Yeah, using unsweetened cherry Kool-Aid on your head will do that to ya :-)

Still, I think it suits your temperament. I like it :-)

I would have gone for purple....but red works for you.

LOL! I have dyed red hair, too, but the box I used says "Lucious Mango" - still it's "whore in church red", too. (picture on the front page of my URL)

Remember, when you dye your hair a color like that, it's all about the ATTITUDE. You can't act all shy & retiring; you must OWN the color.

Seriously, random people stop me on the street and tell me what a great color it is....

Have fun!

Hey, I've never dyed my hair red! :)

(Never had to until maybe recently....)

I've had a couple of friends dye their hair something approximating auburn and gone out with them as "The Three Redheads of the Apocolypse".
