When the GM1 Gets It Up, People Take Notice

For those of you who wonder what exactly the GM1 does, he's provided a visual aid.

I'm suitably impressed, myself. And perhaps just a little turned on.
I'm just glad he doesn't bring his work home with him.
(He tells me this was taken during a telemetry shoot of anti-aircraft missles off San Clemente Island and not, as I alleged, a failed attempt to toast marshmallows.)

Ya know I gotta ask: Vertical launch of a Standard Arm?

There's one for the "things that sounds dirty but really aren't" list.

What's the little triangular thingy sticking out of the missile just behind the ogival part, on the right-hand side?

Posted by: Justthisguy at May 17, 2004 06:07 AM

The little triangular thingy is called "a doohickey". (That's Rocket Scientist technical talk.)

Would le Maitresse de la Fromage please convey to her GM1 that that photo looks an awful lot like a shot from a 50s movie about alien invasion, end-of-the-world, last-people-on-earth-going-off-into-space stuff?

Justthisguy- The GM1 says it's most probably the telemetry antenna.

Mike- doesn't it? Luckily, he was there at the shoot and got the photo from the guy what had tooken it.
Tooken it.
Oh my god, my hillbilly roots are showing.

..I figured it was only a matter of time, hehe! Oh, and did they roast weenies, too? Giggle.
