Count On It

Lawren finds the coolest stuff.
The Fido Number Guessing Puzzle Thingy.
I did this for an hour and it was always dead-on.
I don't wanna know how, I just want to bask in the mystery that is math.

Do you think that little cartoony punk can balance my check register for me? I'm scared to open it.

That's just scary....

He was wrong. The number he picked NEVER was a part of my full 4 digit creation. Not even freakin' close.

Hmmm....maybe you broke him!

Da Goddess is answerin her own posts. You need a rule about that in here. Nothing against Da Goddess, it's just a public service announcement to make everyone aware of this sort of activity which may be becoming commonplace, and is liable to screw up Google seven ways to "four digits".

You've made a very good point, but Da Goddess might rip you to shreds but not in a good way.

He's not supposed to pick a number from your original four-digit pick. He's supposed to pick the number you circled in the result of subtracting one number from the other, e.g.:

I pick 7061 as my original number.

I shuffle it to create 6710 for the second number.

I subtract the smaller (6710) from the larger (7061), to get 351.

I circle "1".

At that point, he should tell me the number I circled was "1" (which he did).

It pisses me off no end that I cannot figure this out.

No, no, no...I GOT that it wasn't supposed to be one of the original numbers. That was MY typo I couldn't correct. Still, the number guessed was incorrect.

Well he got my number wrong...
Then I re did the math. Turns out I got the number wrong.
Damn punk arsed little punk.

I'd explain how it works only LeeAnn probably isn't done basking yet.

All right, Pixy, but put a warning on it before you tattle... in case I don't feel like dealing with reality just then. :)
