Soccer? I Hardly Know Her!

1. I'm here.
2. I can't find my cell phone anywhere, because somehow I packed it, unpacked it, looked at the complete and utter non-reception on it, laid it down, and forgot it. Before, of course, recharging it so it will ring when I call it so I can aurally find it. So if you find my cell phone, good luck with it.
3. Because I can't find the charger either.
4. In spite of everyone and their second cousin using the phrase "More cowbell!" on their blogs, up until last week I had zero clue as to what it meant. Then some flash of radio receptivity barfed up a talk show as we drove through the mountains in innumerable box-shuttlings last week on which (the talk show, not the mountains) they were discussing some hilarious Christopher Walken SNL thingy focused on the phrase "More cowbell!"
5. I cannot tell you how ashamed I am, being the alcolyte at the Shrine of Christopher Walken. I may have to turn in my Ritual Thong.
6. Ask me about my cardboard cut, go on, ask me. I won't tell you where it is, though.
6a. But it was previously presumed to be physiologically impossible to get a cardboard box cut in such an exotic place.
7. It is 110 degrees here today.
8. I had to lie down and rest a lot due to this.
9. The people at Vons grocery were not amused.
10. Exotic in the above case does not mean Tahiti, by the way.
11. Did I mention the cable guy showed up? Only he wasn't really the cable guy, strictly speaking.
12. He was a Cable Repair Technician who had to lower himself (or so he made it seem) to doing install/hookups of cable due to some random babble that I tuned out after the first twenty minutes.
13. Consequently, he had no idea how to configure my email accounts or internet whatevers.
14. He really said "internet whatevers."
15. So I blondely did it, with the help of Patel, the guy on the phone at the helpdesk who was extremely helpful and probably tuned out my own random babble after the first twenty seconds.
16. I can probably host a World Cup Soccer match in the main room of this house, it's that freaking big.
17. Might not look so big if I just had some furniture in it other than bookcases along the walls, but hey.... balls for everyone!
18. Somehow my banner is still showing up here. Odd, considering the image is hosted on my previous isp, since canceled. Shall cease to mention this.... gifty horse mouths and whatnot.
19. 22 bookcases, in case you wondered. Twenty-buggery-two.
20. Did I mention I'm back and I missed you all?

C'mon.... HOW exotic??

Next time you need to snooze in Van's, make sure you do it in the freezer section - much more restful and temperate.

Welcome home.

Yay!!! You're back! I missed you... I'd miss your cell phone too if I had the number and you weren't answering... *grin* I've had that "big room" thing going in a couple of places we moved to - eventually I managed to fill the space... but isn't it lovely to have room!

"...balls for everyone!"

Yep, you're back, all right...

Posted by: LDH at May 22, 2005 02:26 PM

Yay! She's back!

Hey, the people at Von's will get used to it. Don't let them get the upper hand.

You were missed!

Twenty-buggery-two? That's (hmm... counts...) Exactly the same as me!

What the hell do you do with them all? I mean, mine are full of books, but then I'm weird.

Thank you all!
Pixy, mine are full of books also.
Harvey- Okay, now I can SEE more cowbell, and I am strangely hypnotized by Will Ferrell's belly flopping about. I suspect this will pass but we know not when.

Posted by: LeeAnn at May 23, 2005 07:13 AM

Yea!

The cheesy goodness has returned.

I am happy now!

Isn't it nice to have plenty of room for your balls to bounce around a little?

Welcome back! :-D
